⭐️⭐️ If you book Andaman Bliss, read this before handing over your money. Our ₹60,000 “dedicated car” 3 day tour turned into one unbelievable incident after another. On Day 1, we went straight from the airport to Cellular Jail for sightseeing, with all our luggage left inside our dedicated vehicle because they wanted to save fuel expenses driving us to chidiya tapu and back. My mother stayed in the car with our sleeping infant. Despite this, because the company apparently wanted to use our dedicated vehicle for another pickup, she was physically pulled/dragged out of the car in the rain, while our belongings were still inside. This was completely brutal to say the least, to use physical assault, when there was no working phone for her to contact us. We received an apology from the owner afterward, missed the light show, and still decided to continue because we had already paid a substantial amount for the package, and they promised to set things right. The driver apologized for his misdemeanor as well. Then came the journey back to our resort in Chidiya Tapu. Our driver was stopped by the police in connection with drunk driving, and we ended up stranded for nearly two hours at night with our luggage, baby, no toilet nearby, poor/no cellular signal, mosquitoes everywhere, and fast moving traffic on a dark road. Eventually another vehicle was sent. The most unbelievable part - The very next morning, the same driver involved in the previous night’s incident arrived to pick us up again 🤣🤣🤣 We questioned why a driver whose license had been seized by the police was being sent back to transport our family. The owner’s response was essentially that they were “meeting their commitments” by providing the cab. We were also already running late and were told we would not receive our cruise tickets unless we went in their cab. Feeling completely helpless, we went with him. Finally, Elephanta Beach, one of the activities we were most looking forward to, was suddenly said to be “shut down” despite the weather being sunny. Instead, we were taken to a local dirty Beach for roughly an hour and then dropped at the cruise terminal about four hours early with fake promises of activities planned near the cruise station. We were left waiting in a shed with broken chairs and dog feces. We had also been lied to that we wait comfortably on the cruise, which turned out not to be the case. So why 2 stars instead of 1? For the sheer adventure, drama, absurdity and unforgettable stories this company managed to pack into three days 😅 We came away incredibly grateful to be safe, grateful for our life back home in the States, and with a very unfortunate lesson in how badly people can be treated when basic safety, empathy and responsibility are missing. Andaman is beautiful. Unfortunately, this tour experience was anything but bliss. Definitely not the kind of “adventure” we expected for ₹60,000.
