Getting the keys
Do I need a licence to rent a bike in the Andamans?
Yes. A valid driving licence for the class of vehicle is checked at pickup, and a geared motorcycle needs a licence that covers gears. An international licence or an IDP is fine. Bring the physical card — a photo of it is not accepted.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, and it is refundable. Expect ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 depending on the machine, collected at pickup and returned when the bike comes back in the condition it left in. It is not charged when you book — every rental on this page is pay-at-pickup.
What comes with the rental?
Helmet (2 included), Basic breakdown support, Full tank on pickup. Fuel beyond that first tank is yours.
Can the bike be delivered to where I'm staying?
Yes, anywhere on the island you're picking up from, at no extra cost. Tell us the property when you book and it will be waiting there.
Out on the road
Is there a limit on how far I can ride?
Each day's rental includes 100 km to 250 km, and anything past that is charged per kilometre at the rate shown on the listing. On islands this size the allowance is generous — Havelock end to end is about 20 km.
Can I take the bike to another island?
No. A rental stays on the island it was picked up from — the inter-island ferries don't carry hired two-wheelers. Rent separately on each island; we have a fleet on Port Blair, Havelock and Neil.
What happens if it breaks down?
Call the number on your booking and we'll get to you. Breakdown support is included on every rental. A mechanical fault is on us; a fault you caused is not.
What if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation up to 12 hours before pickup. Inside 12 hours, the first day's rent is non-refundable.
