Cabs & car hire
Transfers off the flight and the ferry, and half or full days held at your pace. Fuel, tolls and parking are in the fare; the only thing that runs it up is your own extra hours.
There is no self-drive car hire in the Andamans — it is prohibited by government order. Every car here comes with a driver. If you want to drive yourself, two-wheelers are permitted.

Images show the class of vehicle. The exact model and colour depend on what is on the island that day.
Four classes, all with a driver. Pick by how many of you there are and how much luggage is coming — that, rather than the badge on the bonnet, is what decides it.

Every hire shows what it costs in each class it runs in. Cheapest first.

One-way runs at a fixed fare, tracked against your actual arrival rather than the timetable.
Self-drive hire is prohibited across the islands by government order. That is the rule, not our policy — so the fare you see includes someone to drive it.
Twenty-four hours is enough most of the year. December to February the island fleet genuinely runs out, so book the car when you book the room.
Transfers watch your actual flight or ferry. Thirty minutes of free waiting from the moment you land or dock, and no charge for a delay that isn't yours.
Nothing to settle at each stop. Timed hires run over at ₹200 an hour and ₹25 a kilometre, logged by the driver and paid at the end.
What the fare covers, what runs it up, and the one rule about driving here that catches everyone out.

No. Self-drive hire is prohibited across the islands by government order, so there is no legitimate operator offering it — every car on this page comes with a driver. If you want to drive yourself, that means a two-wheeler, which is permitted, and which we also rent.
Fuel, the driver's allowance, tolls, and parking on the island you are travelling on. It does not include the inter-island ferry, entry tickets at the sights, or anything you eat.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is enough for most of the year. Between December and February, and across the long weekends, the island fleet genuinely runs out — book the car with the rest of the trip.
A Mini takes two cabin bags, a sedan three, an SUV four. If there are four of you moving hotels with full suitcases, take the SUV — the sedan boot is the thing people misjudge.
Timed hires run over at ₹200 an hour and ₹25 a kilometre past what the package includes. The driver logs both and you settle the difference at the end of the day rather than up front.
No. Vehicles don't cross on the passenger ferries, so each island is booked separately. We keep a fleet on Port Blair, Havelock and Neil, and arrange the hand-off at each jetty for you.
Our drivers know the islands and will tell you where to stand for the sunset, but they aren't licensed guides, and most speak Hindi and Bengali before English. Ask us if you'd like a guide booked alongside the car.
Transfers are tracked against the actual arrival rather than the scheduled one, with thirty minutes of free waiting from the moment you land or dock. Nothing extra is charged for a delay that isn't yours.

A 20-minute call with a trip designer gets you a day-by-day plan, a real quote and zero obligation to book. Leave your number and we’ll ring you, or reach us directly.
